A Quiet Look Back, and Hope for What’s Ahead
When the Rescue Range was first introduced, it wasn’t built around targets, timelines, or expectations. It came from something much simpler, a love for dogs, and a feeling that since I had a business, I should try to use it to do some good alongside everything else.
At the time, it felt like such a small idea. Just candles that represent our time with our dogs, that could hopefully help and support dogs in need. But over the months, it has grown into something that has gently reshaped how I view my business, my community, and what’s possible when people come together with shared values.
From July to January, the Rescue Range raised €2,576.50 for our dog rescue charities. While it may look like a single number on a page, it represents something far more meaningful. It represents continuity. It represents support arriving, month after month, to organisations that rarely get a break and rarely get the recognition they deserve.
Rescue work doesn’t pause. Dogs arrive unexpectedly. Bills don’t wait. Care has to be provided every single day, often with limited resources and immense emotional strain. Knowing that the Rescue Range has been able to offer some support during this time is something I hold very close.
What makes this especially meaningful is that it didn’t happen through grand gestures. It happened through everyday choices. Someone choosing a candle as a gift. Someone lighting it at home. Someone sharing a post or telling a friend. Small moments, repeated over time, creating something tangible and real.
I’ll be honest, I don’t always find it easy to reflect on milestones like this. I tend to always look forward in my business rather than pause and reflect. But this felt worth acknowledging, not as an achievement to celebrate loudly, but as a reminder of what intention and a little bit of care can build.
As we start the new year ahead, I feel very hopeful. There is space for this range to grow, to support more rescue organisations, and to continue evolving. My hope is that we can raise another meaningful amount, not for the sake of numbers, but for the dogs who rely on that support every single day.
