Meet the Charities Behind the Rescue Range

Because every pawprint deserves a second chance.
When we created the Rescue Range, it was always about more than just beautiful candles, it was about giving back to the incredible people and paws who need it most. That’s why we’re proud to support Dogs Aid and Dogs Angels Ireland, two incredible Irish rescue organisations that work tirelessly to save, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs who’ve had a tough start.
Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary – Dublin

Dogs Aid animal sanctuary was set up in 1987. The goal when setting up Dogs Aid was to help unwanted and abandoned dogs in Dublin. Almost 40 years later, that goal remains unchanged.
In addition to the dogs looking for their forever home, Dogs Aid have 'forever dogs'. These forever dogs are "too old or too bold" to be rehomed so live at the sanctuary where they are walked, loved and taken care of by volunteers.
Dogs Aid is run entirely by volunteers who give up their time across 7 days a week to look after the wonderful dogs at the sanctuary. They rely almost entirely on donations from the public to fund the running of the sanctuary. Dogs Aid also run also a subsidized first aid veterinary clinic in Ballymun on Tuesday

Dogs Angels Ireland – Co. Dublin
Dogs Angels Ireland is a South Dublin based non-profit dog charity. It was set up by fellow dog owners who were appalled at the mistreatment of domesticated animals in Ireland. It is a volunteer-led group committed to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs across Ireland.
Dogs Angels Ireland actively rescue dogs from pounds and other situations where they are at risk. They rely on volunteers, particularly for fostering, and are always in need of foster homes for dogs of all sizes.
Every dog they take in receives veterinary care, a safe and loving foster home, and a second shot at a life full of love. They work around the clock, not just rescuing, but also advocating, educating, and helping dogs find their perfect forever family.

Husky Rescue Ireland – Co. Laois

Husky Rescue Ireland (HRI) was set up to alleviate the suffering caused to huskies by irresponsible ownership, abuse and neglect in Ireland. Due to the increase in akitas needing homes recently and lack of rescue space, we also dedicate our time rehoming them. HRI also aims to reduce the social impact of abandoned and un-neutered huskies and akitas in communities around Ireland.
Some of the key objectives of HRI are to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome healthy neutered dogs responsibly and to educate and provide support to the general public on responsible dog ownership and dog welfare. HRI aim to achieve the this through forging strong relationships with pounds and rescues throughout Ireland.
HRI will also provide each dog with high quality healthcare, training and ensure their basic needs are met. There are several beneficiaries to the work that HRI do, these include: the dogs themselves, state funded pounds throughout Ireland, new and potential owners through on going support and the general public through support and information provision.
While HRI is currently located in Co. Laois we rescue huskies and Akitas the length and breadth of Ireland from pounds, as strays and owner surrenders

Why We Chose Them
These three charities hold a special place in our hearts. They’re local and run by people who pour everything they have into helping dogs, not because it’s easy, but because it’s right. When we fostered Blaze, a lab cross pup in December from Dogs Angels Ireland, we saw just how many dogs need help and how stretched these rescues really are.
So we wanted to give back in a meaningful, ongoing way, and the Rescue Range was born.
