Meet the Maker – Hannah, Founder of Wolf + Wick

Hi, I’m Hannah, founder of Wolf + Wick, candle maker, country music fan, and lover of all things outdoors (especially when dogs are involved).

I started making candles because I could never find the right one, something with a scent I truly loved, that kept its fragrance from the first light to the last burn. So I took matters into my own hands, and Wolf + Wick was born. What began as a passion project quickly turned into something more meaningful, a way to blend creativity, nature, and a love of beautiful rituals into everyday life.

Before starting this journey, I worked as a beauty therapist. That background taught me the importance of self-care and how it’s the little details that make people feel special, and that ethos is woven into every candle I hand-pour.

Wolf + Wick is about more than just scent. It’s about experience, the feeling of being wrapped in a blanket in a forest cabin, the salt in your hair after a walk on the beach, or the sweet comfort of a moment just for you. Every candle is inspired by those kinds of memories and made to bring you back to your favourite adventure, wherever you are. Each candle is made in small batches using natural waxes, sustainable materials, and carefully chosen fragrances that are just a little bit different. 

Now living in the Irish countryside with my husband and our dog, in a home we built together. Life here is simple and full of inspiration, from long walks under big skies to evenings spent making pizzas with country music playing, and always, the gentle glow of a candle burning nearby.

That everyday magic, the warmth of home, the beauty in stillness, the grounding power of scent, is what inspires each candle I create. From blending fragrances to hand-pouring each piece, I aim to bottle up a feeling, of calm, comfort, and connection to the present moment.

This isn’t just a candle business. It’s an extension of the life we’ve built, intentional, rooted, and filled with light. I’m so glad you’re here. I hope you find a fragrance that takes you somewhere special.
